艀（はしけ）とは
大型船が岸壁に接岸できないとき、沖で船に横付けし、荷を受け取って岸へ運ぶ 小さな平底船。どの船籍でも、どの軍種でも、錨地の船はすべて艀が運びます。 横須賀（海軍）も、横田（空軍）も、キャンプ座間（陸軍）も、佐世保も、 在日米大使館も。
