Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-19

The Japanese version of this page is the governing text. This English version is provided for convenience; in the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Japanese version controls.

By creating an account or otherwise using Hashike, you agree to these terms.

The service

Hashike aggregates and machine-translates public data (SAM.gov, USAspending.gov, Federal Register) about US federal contract opportunities performed in Japan. It is an information tool, not legal advice, proposal-writing, consulting, or bid representation, and does not guarantee any contract award. Hashike is independent — not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the US Government, DoD, or SAM.gov. Always verify against the official solicitation before acting.

We use AI tools and automated processing to collect, translate and summarize opportunities, to draft the free guides, and to generate video narration. AI assists with translation, summarization and drafting only — we do not evaluate opportunities or advise whether to bid. Machine-translated and AI-generated text may contain errors.

Accounts

Provide accurate registration information, keep your password secure, and you're responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being misused.

Trial & subscription

Each account gets a 14-day free trial with every feature, including PDF and Markdown export. No card is required. When it ends, the account moves to the Free plan and saved items are kept. Paid plans aren't currently offered. Payment terms will be published before sales open; card payment is planned.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • Redistribute or resell the aggregated or translated data as a competing product.
  • Access the service through automated bulk requests, including scraping, without prior permission.
  • Copy or reconstruct all or a substantial part of the Hashike database, whether through the interface, the export features, the API or MCP.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage allowances, rate limits or other technical limits.
  • Share an account or an API key outside the organization it was issued to.
  • Reverse-engineer the service or the systems behind it.
  • Use the service for an unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

The underlying records remain public. US government data from SAM.gov and USAspending.gov is public domain, and Japanese central-government award results published to the 調達ポータル are likewise public. Hashike claims no rights in those source records themselves.

What is ours is the work on top of them: the organization, normalization, entity resolution on 法人番号, translation, summarization, analysis, research documents and interface. These terms restrict how you may use the service and that work — not your use of the public information itself.

API, MCP, webhooks and exports

Data retrieved through the API, MCP, or the Markdown and PDF exports may be used for research and evaluation within your own organization. Internal documents, AI tools and analytics systems are all within that scope.

Without prior written permission, please do not redistribute, resell or publish retrieved data to third parties, build a competing product or service from it, or copy or reconstruct a substantial part of the Hashike database.

An API key, and an access token issued through OAuth, are both credentials belonging to the organization or person they were issued to, and should not be shared. Usage is metered per organization against the total of that organization's active paid subscriptions; additional API keys do not increase the allowance.

Webhook delivery — events sent to an endpoint you register — is not enabled at present. If it is offered, the terms of this section apply to data delivered that way in the same manner as to data you retrieve, keeping the endpoint you register is your responsibility, and we may suspend delivery to an endpoint that repeatedly fails.

We record usage, including call counts, records retrieved and the identifiers of the records retrieved, for billing, abuse detection and improving the service. Allowances and rate limits may change.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is," with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or currency of information the service provides, including machine translation and AI-generated summaries and drafts. Verify anything you rely on for a bid decision against official primary sources, at your own responsibility. Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for loss arising from an error in the information or from a failure to make that verification. Where we are liable, damages are subject to the cap in "Limitation of Liability."

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost profits or lost business opportunity) arising from use of the service. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You may cancel anytime. We may suspend or terminate an account for a material breach of these terms. Access ends on termination.

Severability

If any provision of these terms, or part of one, is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that part will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. This page will be updated once Hashike's operating entity is formally registered.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or applicable law changes. Material changes will be noted on this page.
